Burma and Africa

As at least 50 more chlorine units are being sent to Burma in the next few weeks many more people are being impacted by clean water in Africa!

Last October (2007) MaGooGoo Tanzania received a "Hays Chlorine Unit". Before this, roughly 5,000 people were dying from Cholera. Now, after one year of using the chlorinator no one within two miles has either gotten sick or died from bad water!

A hospital in Singida, Tanzania is now using chlorine generated from a single unit. The chlorine is made daily and then automatically injected into the water. They use rain water and city water both of which carry bad water. Now it is safe to drink.

A children's feeding center in Singiday also was set up with a chlorine and injector system. Up to 2000 children will be fed and watered. Some live on the streets and most are very poor. The hope is to give these children a chance to grow up and be productive.

The rainy season will begin on November 15. This brings rain run off and diseases that kill people, such as cholera.

John and Mary plan to return January 2009 to stop these diseases by providing clean water in 5 villages.
