Clean Water for the survivors of Burma!

Families in a refugee camp in Burma
The Irrawaddy Delta disaster area

Earlier this month a cyclone tore through Burma. The hardest hit area was the Irrawaddy Delta. Since government officials forbade any outside rescue into the country many people were left suffering from lack of nutrients and health care. 100,000 people have already perished with 30,000 being children under the age of 5. Unfortunately the death toll is only rising.

Malaria and other diseases are prevalent and debilitating what survivors there are. Just this past week international aid and supplies were let into Burma but many people are still suffering due to the fact that most of the disaster areas cannot be reached by car, only by boat and even they are not getting into the areas that need the most help.

The Burmese people are in a state of shock from loosing loved ones and are dealing with sickness and homelessness. People are begging for food and water.

The Lord opened the door this week and thanks to World Revival Church of Kansas City, John and another team member will be going to Burma to distribute 25 water units. Each unit will supply 5,000 people with clean water per day!! Time is of the essence!
